Late fall and
winter is the sailing season in south
Florida; very active. There are many good sailing days during winter in Southern
California. We have an all
weather harbor at
Catalina Island for an "offshore" transit
destination. So, yes; quite often. Generally SW to NW, North
wind in summer. South, SE to NE
wind common in winter, etc. NE wind is dry desert wind. Can be quite strong along
parts of the coast, but you can sail in it.
