DIY Yards in Florida that allow blasting
Considering doing a strip/blister repair/barrier coat/repaint on my 36 footer. I am scheduled at Green Cove Springs, but they don’t allow blasting. Neither does Charlotte Harbor boat storage. Anybody have a recommendation for an inexpensive yard that allows blasting and that can do long-term storage while the boat dries out? Boat is located North of Tampa but wouldn’t mind traveling to the northern Atlantic coast of FL as I live about equal distance between Jacksonville and Tampa.

Re: DIY Yards in Florida that allow blasting
How about Glades Boat Storage on Okeechobee? They seemed the cheapest when I looked around. A few weird rules (much less so than most other FL yards nowadays)
"Tarp must be under boat entire time in work yard for any work being done
Bring your own tarps or purchase/rent tarps from us.
Vacuum recovery system must be used for any and all sanding.
No pressure washing or spray painting in work yard. Yard crew will pressure wash in
our designated area. Spray painting and sand blasting is only to be done in blasting area."

Westland marina in Titusville is a DIY yard, though I don't know if they allow blasting.

I seen a few bloggers doing DIY at Indian Town marina. Not sure about the blasting. Rates are pretty reasonable. Indiantown Marina - Home

Re: DIY Yards in Florida that allow blasting
Glades is about a 5 hour drive from me. That has a significantly adverse impact on my ability to do it myself.

Not sure how far you are willing to go. I friend moved his boat to the Florida coast and used a boat yard in Carrabelle. He said it was relatively cheap and they didn't care what he did to his boat while it was there. He had it on the hard for about 2-3 months prepping it.

Whatever you do, DO NOT USE CATAMARAN BOATYARD in Key Largo. Owner is a liar, thief, and just a bad human. I had my worst boatyard experience there in over 50 years. Locals say, “we know better than to try to deal with Sam”.

While your candor is admirable (and maybe helpful) I hope you have an attorney on retainer.

Re: DIY Yards in Florida that allow blasting
Had my 38 fter blasted a couple of times in the 30 yrs I have owned it at CrackerBoy in Ft. Pierce. But that is not DIY. Requires entire bottom to be tented by plastic taped to hull and secured to ground tarp by one of their approved vendors.
Similar for Spray painting your boat . You must use an approved vendor and they must follow their EPA guidelines as far as barriers to protect other boats in the yard.
Seaside Marine Services did mine last and they have a new blaster setup. They can do sand or soda blasting as well. Not sure what else. Top notch painters as well - roll and tip or spray.

St Marys Boat Services is right on the FL/GA line. They allow DIY work and storage is cheap.
The following link shows a guy who is using the St. Marys yard for a restoration. He had his hull blasted recently by a local company.

Squanderbucks
Yes. Cracker Boy does as you say but so does every yard. No one I know allows DYI sandblasting. That was not the actual question Cracker Boy does allow DYI for almost everything else. You can’t rent a sandblast unit with hood and air input anywhere I know. Compressors sure. Sandblast is not DYI project anywhere I know. Apparently that includes Sea Side Marine by your own admission.

Re: DIY Yards in Florida that allow blasting
Why blast instead of the usual pressure wash and recoat? Just to get a fresh surface?
