We are going to St. John's for a wedding in the first week of December. We are considering combining it with our first time
charter.
The general plan is to
charter out of St. Thomas and go to Hawksnest Bay on the first full day. From there we'd like to do day
sails with
family and arrive at different bays while there.
My question is regarding the
day sailing. If we sail north to the area between Jost Van Dyke and Hans Lollick, we very quickly cross into
BVI Territorial waters.
If we go south around Cruz Bay we would lose a couple hours every day in transit to open sailing.
How would this be managed. I don't know how crossing territorial waters in the VI's works, but here in the
Great Lakes the Canadian
government is enforcing the borders
Your input is appreciated.
