Cullen Bay marina it seems is the only place with a wide enough lock that we can get through but there are no berths available.

Assuming you mean unattended; if so I would not be happy to leave it on the hook unattended in Fannie Bay even though it is a good dry season anchorage as Factor indicates. Someone from Darwin Sailing Club may care take it for you.
There used to be pile moorings available in Sadgroves Creek (upstream from Dinah Beach Cruising Yacht Association) and these are well protected (except from sandflies
). However that was 15 years back and I don't have current
knowledge of their availability.
