Cruising Miami to Exumas

I think the majority of the George Town crowd is just that, they come down and get their boat off of the hard in Fl, run over to George Town and just sit, never move, until it’s time to return to Fl and put the boat back on the hard again.
Most of the rest of the people move through, buy a little fuel and move on, cause there is really nothing there but the George Town crowd and Chat-n-chill.
Time to go is during the Regatta, then leave.

In other words I don’t think there will be many more people there, it has its own group of people.

I second this. Better protected then the GT anchorage. There is a fairy that can assist in getting you to the main land and back on travel days.

You can do the run in a week. During deliveries I’d do it in 3 days, but that’s sucks.

The run along the west side of the exuma chain is awesome BUT the section between Nassau and the cut near iguana cay has you in a shipping channel. The area around that channel is not well charted. Don’t deviate to far from the main heading. That section gets choppy.

Be sure to have a few options to cut from the west side of the chain to the east side and be aware that waves can be big in the cuts leading into the ocean side of the chain.

Good luck, post some pics.
