Cruising guide books

I am thinking of buying Eric Bauhaus The Panama Cruising Guide but it was published in 2014. Can anyone recommend other Panama cruising guides which are more updated. Thanks!

Bauhaus is the best for Panama. The routes in the San Bias are only available in the guide.
If you use OpenCpn you can get the chartlets from the book in digital format.

Second Bauhaus. THE guide to have for Panama...especially the San Blas. Excellent guide, very well done charts, very accurate. There is really nothing new in terms of navigation/charts to report in the San Blas since 2014....except a few new wrecks on the reefs!

I have got Jimmy's world cruising route. However, I would like to some guides for reference. Having done some research about the pacific crossing guide and Pacific Islands guides, they are also very out of date.

Any recommendations? I would like to order these guides before leaving USA.

There are no guides to the South Pacific that are anywhere near up to date. They are OK for browsing and day dreaming but not great for day to day use. The French Polynesian tourist board book is probably the best if you can get the English language version for FP.
The best current info for cruisers is the downloads available at the Jacarana and Soggy Paws sites.
