Cruising between Mobile Bay and Pensacola Bay

Would be interested in any advice or recent experiences cruising or passing through the waterways between the bottom of Mobile Bay that connect over to the mouth of Pensacola Bay.

Starting from the west, you enter via the ICW near Bon Secour and then enter into Wolf Bay, pass Perdido Bay, and then end up at the mouth of Pensacola Bay. The main transit is defined by the ICW but the charts show potential anchorage areas in the bay areas listed.

Would appreciate any advice on anchorages, interesting places to visit, nice restaurants, fuel dock services, etc. I also want to pass through and visit Saunders Yacht Works as I’ve heard they are one of the best yards on the mid Gulf coast.

I’m originally from Mobile and grew up sailing on Mobile Bay but moved to New Orleans in 1982 and Lake Pontchartrain has been my home sailing waters. I’ve not been through the area above since so want to check it out.
