Cruisers Networks

Hi everybody,
we once listened into a radio network when cruising in New Caledonia. The main operator was in Fiji but boats from all over the Pacific called in. Weather and a lot of helpful information was talked about informaly.
Having my own HF radio installed now I wonder if any of you could tell me about such networks, I need frequencies and times to get started. Area is the Pacific, New Zealand to Canada. (Planned voyage)

some of the nets have a long standing tradition, others come and go. Once you find a net, they probably know of more current, up to date info, for your journey.
