Perhaps someone out there can help me. Some day (finances permitting) I hope to try my hand at sailing but for now I'm a touring cyclist. I'm currently 6003km into a tour across Canada
starting at the Alaska
Border (W141 degrees) bound for Cape Spear. By early/mid July I'll be in Nova Scotia
, staring at the Laurentian Channel and here is where I hope a kind soul with a sailboat might help me out. It would feel wrong after almost 8000km spent traveling slowly, quietly and without fossil fuels to hop on a massive ferry
, burn through all that gas and ruin the experience of being out on the water
. If anybody (or anyone you know) is sailing from the maritimes to Newfoundland
in July and has room for one guy and his bicycle I'd be extremely grateful! I'm sure I could make myself useful and would gladly pay for the ride if need be.
Also, I realize this is not a forum for cyclists. I sincerely hope it's not a problem that I'm posting
here but if it is, please let me know.
