Only 7 more months to prep for the trip/race of a lifetime. We (the crew of the Ginny B) have completed our entry for the Marina Del Rey to
Puerto Vallarta race in Feb of 2005. I am so excited I can hardly stand myself. Lots of thought went into the decision to enter, but I think we are ready. At least skill ready. My brother & I will be acting captains, with 4 crew apiece. We have been steadily updating the
electronics over the last year & are ready for the three weeks it takes to complete the
race. I'm sure we will be adding more before the year is out. I am hoping to finish my
Celestial navigation before then. Has anyone else done a race of this length before? We have done several smaller races together. The
Newport to Ensenada, The Little Ensenada, & some club
racing. This just gets my adrenals pumping. CAN'T WAIT!!!
