Re: Coast Guard Finds Critical Aids-To-Navigation Shot And Sunk Near Rhode Island

What's your problem, Jason? If you're a boater, you can or should be able to appreciate the value of navigation aids. Shooting them up is moronic. As far as I know, the Coast Guard is made up of really hard-working good guys. I hope they're around when I need them. You on the other hand sound like an angry soul, with little apparent value to others.

Don't think the CG is going to invest in a forensic examination just to satisfy your need to troll.
Your search for the bottom has been accomplished.

It must have been thr Russians, Maybe Putin himself using one of those deadly assault rifles with a shoulder thing that goes up.
Ban the Russians, do it for the children.

What's the alternative? The Coast Guard misrepresented the situation in order to give the Trumplican Government a pretext to take everyone's guns away?
I don'y think so. You don't need a gun to sink a navigational aid. An ordinary run of the mill fire axe will do just the same.
Somebody doesn't like that aid and that's their idea of revenge maybe. Who knows? If I had a nickel for every nut case out there I'd be a millionaire

Fire axes generally don't make holes that look like that but bullets do.

Also it usually takes several swings for a fire axe to punch it's way thru 1/8"-1/4" rolled plate steel which is what they make that type of buoy out of.

Millionaire is understating it.

Look chaps/chapesses. Seems you all have missed the essential issue. In much of the western world outside Donald Duck land, seagoers articulate a buoy as a “boy” .. as in girl and boy. My American acquaintances articulate, pronounce (whatever) it as a boo-ee. However, we don’t say “boo-ancy” for buoyancy, or “boo-ant” for buoyant, do we? Maybe it comes from being frightened as in “boo!”. Could explain why some dim wit fired shots at it.
Oh no! It could have been the Kraken ... again!
There. I am sure my considerations are of equivalent relevance as some others.
