Re: Christmas Lights Thread

We were in Fri and Sat nights Lighted Christmas Paraid here on the Columbia River on Fri night we had 4 CF members on Fri night and on Sat 4 more CF members joined my friends and I. We had 4 guys taking turns wearing a Santa suit on the bow under a mast spot light waving and yelling at folks along the shore, it was cold about 30F with some snow flurries and fog coming off the 49F deg water. I hope some one took some good pic's I was too busy being captian at the helm. Great lights no wonder you won. sv We Be Jammin was the only sailboat in our paraid I don't know where the other sailboats were.

Parade is this Saturday evening. I won't win a prize, but we'll have a lot of fun celebrating.

Re: Christmas Lights Thread

Around Seattle, the Christmas boats are a big thing. The local dinner cruise boats deck out and carry a choir to different parts of the waterfront both in Elliott Bay (Seattle waterfront) and around Lake Union and Lake Washington. They do it over about 5-6 nights. There is always a large contingent of private boats lit up and going along. We usually light up the boat and follow the crowd on one or two nights. Actually, a lot of fun.

Close ... but no cigar. It's Lake Union, Seattle. This pic was taken by our friend Gary from Windswept.
