Catalina 270 Dodger?

Hello to my fellow sailors, new and very happy owner of a 2005 Catalina 270. I have been looking through catalinadirect, sailrite, ect. I can not find a dodger for my boat. Does one exist that I have yet to find, will my rigging allow for one? Any ideas, information, help would be great. The weather on Lake Superior has been perfect so far, I know it wont last forever though.

Most dodgers are custom. In your case a dodger will be difficult, if not impossible, to do well. Your mainsheet is right where the dodger would go (not the traveler, just the bitter end of the mainsheet).

Most any marine canvas place can make a dodger for you. Mine was around $1200 because I had them use the same frame.

They would build a nice stainless steel frame for your boat and it would be $1500 for frame and dodger if you got it done here.

As far as the difficulty, there is a Catalina 27 in a slip near me with the main sheet in about the same place as yours and he has a dodger built buy the same company that did mine.

They are mostly all custom made because many people want different things.
