Cape Verde COVID-19 Update

Here's an update for those who would like to know -

Entering by sea is still allowed to the all islands except Sal and Santiago, although they may be subject to a two week quarantine currently. I have no solid info on that, but have seen ships entering Mindelo. Those ships did move to the anchorage after checking in though.

Re: Cape Verde COVID-19 Update

Correction, Boa Vista was the other quarantined island, not Sal.

Update - 1 new case on Sal today, the first confirmed, and 1 new case here in Sao Vincente, the first in over a month.
Although quarantine here has been better than some countries, testing is practically non-existent, especially on the non-quarantined islands. It is likely that the problem is worse than the figures show.

It's a serious subject. Really.

Still, mandatory use of MASCARA makes me giggle.
Ohh, if all the guys would just look as good as Johnny Depp in Pirates of the Caribbean when wearing it :-)

I know they mean masks. Stay safe & healthy.

Re: Cape Verde COVID-19 Update

Haha, yea, I wonder what the etymology is? I assume it is the root of the english word.
Maybe I should start wearing some, brings out the eyes
It would probably help with the social distancing tbh

Re: Cape Verde COVID-19 Update

Not sure with the social distancing, Captain Jack Sparrow is kind of cute :-)
