Cane Garden Bay Tortolla ???

At first look I thought White Bay in Jost Van Dyke, but after further looking at the Cruiser forum web picture im thinking Cane Garden bay just around the corner...Does anybody know? I use to sail here every Tuesday when I was off work. I lived in Red Hook, St Thomas>USVI...There is nothing like the feeling of waking up here in the morning knowing you have to be back at work in a few hours and youre not even in the United States. I know both anchorages pretty well, but I agree with denverd0n in that I don't know what, if anything, you are asking?

Re: Cane Garden Bay Tortolla ???

North Swell, eh? Last year I didn't check the weather one visit to CGB and a north swell moved in during the night while I was anchored there. I had to motor out through swell in (almost) breaking waves in the channel. It wasn't nice for a sailboat but awesome for surfers.

Helped the local fishermen haul in their net to the beach one day. Amazing number of fish in that haul! What a beautiful stop on a beautiful island!

I can only assume he is asking about the location in the CruisersForum header photo. If you right click and open the properties tab you will see it identified as Cane Garden Bay.

Ahh, OutOfControl -you have it!

Oddly enough, we had a thread a while back trying to identify the location and somehow nobody did the right-click thingie. I think I thought it might have been St. John but now that I know where it was taken it is obvious... (hindsight = 20/20)

Re: Cane Garden Bay Tortolla ???

From seeing all the mishaps in this thread. The OP could have been saying.
Cane Garden Bay Tequila.
Especially since he may have visited Callwood rum distillery up on the hill.
