That looks like Le Goulet or the Shippagan Gully.
Was stuck there for an extra day a couple of weeks back.
Was crazy crossing that bar with the wind/wave/current combination even after waiting.
Not a place I would go again if there was ANY option, you can stop on the wrong side of Miscou Island but by the time you sail back around you are almost back in the same situation of stopping at Shippagan for the night.
With the number of lobster pots in the Northumberland straight a night sail was NOT an option, wouldn't have made it 2 miles before you were hung up.
The worst place I got stuck in was Riviere du Loup, stinking cesspool dries up at low tide, you are sitting in bottomless mud. Can only get in or out at peak tide AND if you have a shallow enough draft at that tidal phase...

Tide and current tables are the complete publication. Tides are first, current s are second, just like the old printed versions.

(They are no longer available at printed books.)

Great links by Pelagic. Algo was out when I just checked. Hopefully they’re get it back up. It was a very useful tool for us when we came down the St. Lawrence.
