Can you recommend a good outboard motor for an 8' Fatty Knees?
I am concerned about the weight on the stern, though one of us can sit back there safely and could probably still do if 30 lbs heavier... Is this a legitimate concern?

I have a 2.5hp Yamaha, 4-stroke, works well. When I'm by myself, I sit more forward, and use an outboard tiller extension. When I have another person, or fuel/water onboard, I can sit aft and all is good.

I would think just about anything under 4hp would work just fine, they're not too heavy in that range I wouldn't think, and a fatty wouldn't plane if you figured how to fit a jet engine to it but I'm just making a scientific wild ... posterioral .. guess
