If there are any on the forums, i'd like to meet some new sailors at the GSL. I'm at the South Shore Marina. I'm a friendly guy who likes cruising, beers, and conversation. Feel free to post here, or PM me. Cheers.
Welcome to the forum Coldwelder. This is the first mention I've seen of GSL sailors here but I won't be surprised to see them come out of the woodwork.

Thank you! I imagine there will not be many members from GSL, as it is a small community and it does have it's own Yacht Club forums. But, all the more reason for me to be here, so I can help share some of the GSL magic with the rest of the sailing world.
Cold, I sail out of the Antelope Island Marina when I am not on the PNW coast. Some great sailing here in the winter. Do you also weld? We aught to get together an make some deck equiptment!
@Newt - That's awesome! I love cruising to that marina. What do you sail while on the GSL? And I don't have a lot of welding experience, the username actually refers to a fascinating topic in material physics.
I sail my Compac, which is currently in my driveway getting new rigging. Draft 2.7 feet . I have soloed it down to you guys and back, its a great trip. Right now I am waiting for the first hard frost, to get the saltflies off the water...
It kills a lot of the spiders too )
Yeah I hear you about the flies. In my experience, the brine flies, as well as orb spiders really only significant in July and August. The rest of the year is just awesome sailing.
