Bungee jump it spend the night in the ocean

What are two things I plan to never do. Not sure which I would prefer over the other. I would probably pick bungee jump vs spending a night floating in the ocean.

To be honest I get the heebee geebees at night swiming in an inland fresh water lake in the north. I say north because there are no alligators.

Now thinking about that - I would spend a night in the ocean before I would spend a night in Florida's Lake Okeechobee.

What would be worse...Lake Okeechoobee at night or spending a night in the Amazon River.

Odds of surviving - I would Bungee Jump, pick the ocean over Lake Okeechobee or a row with the Amazon.

Shark week has me thinking...

Have you considered taking up golf?

That's why we always used to surf with a "buddy", you don't need to swim faster than the shark, just faster than your "buddy".

Never mind the creatures below the waterline in lake O. The green hairy al-gay (as our fellow Brits like to call it) with it's current life cycle will choke the life out of ya faster than my ex wifes split pea soup. Guess who's in charge?

Re: Bungee jump it spend the night in the ocean

I saw that huge gator on the golf course. Actually I played in a golf league one year. My biggest distraction was thinking this is a nice day, this takes a lot of time, I should be on my boat instead of this stinkin golf course.

That pea soup algea - yuck.

Do you guys think spending a night in Lake Okeechobee has a zero chance of survival. About the same as spending a night in the Amazon River?

It's funny how we perceive things differently. I really don't feel safe at night unless I'm out of sight of land somewhere in the Atlantic.

I am talking about if you get knocked off your boat and need to spend a long dark night floating with a life jacket in the water.

Would a gator get you for sure in Lake Okeechobee? I think you could survive one night in the ocean without a shark getting you but I think a gator would get you on Lake Okeechobee.

As a long time South Florida resident I can definitely help you with this difficult decision. Lake Okeechobee is where we store billions of tons of agricultural run-off and other pollutants. If you fall in you may get eaten by a gator, but only if the blue-green algae doesn't dissolve you first or render you unappetizing to a gator.Swimming in the Amazon might be alright, depending on where you choose to swim (it's quite a large river) but on balance I think your best bet is bungee jumping off the New River Bridge in wonderful (I mean it) West Virginia.

Have you considered Hawaii? Or even California? Both are known for golf without gators and sailing without them as well. Anything else you hear is a croc.

Re: Bungee jump it spend the night in the ocean

Is there any chance of the Okechobee algea will kill all those gators? My friend bass fishes there and says at night if you shine a spot light at night are gator eyes looking back at you.

I was there a few years ago and in January a gator got teenage boys arm as he was swimming across a narrow channel. I was there just a few days after that attack.
