Apparently it is his intent to do similar with the Sydney to Hobart race.

Perhaps we are seeing some of the intent why multihulls have been chosen for the Americas Cup.
the thing with the gladstone race is that there are two races side by side, multis start 10 minutes behind monos, on a different start line but pretty much the same race. No such luck with the S2H. Its for monos only and there is no simultaneous multi race, the only way Sean Langman - owner of Team Australia can do it is an unofficial shadow of the fleet.

Thanks for that, I did think that Multi's were Banned from the S2H Race.

I dont get why they think a boat that runs its motor non stop during the race is somehow purer than a boat that has more than one hull.
Me either but then again I have never understood the whole mono / multi divide . Why can't we appreciate the differences and get on with life. Such some light hearted banter is part of life but some (from both camps) never know when to stop.

Do car and motorcycle racing enthusiasts carry on like this or say the horse racing mob with saddle and harness racing????
