Bluewater Cruisers

About a year ago I was given a website where I could look at bluewater sailboat manufacturers and see comfort ratings based on keel type, ballast, sail plan, etc. I can't remember what site that was. Can anyone help me out?

Re: Bluewater Cruisers

Thank you, but I have been to both of those and they don't list just the bluewater boats. The site I was given was built by some guy named Robert/Bob or something like that.

Re: Bluewater Cruisers

You will be aware that it is an arbitrary thing. Simply a question of filtering out the displacements and / features / that one finds 'non-bluewater'.

And this one could just as well be you.

Bluewaterboats site simply lists very conservative designs. Which may or not fit well your cruising plans and sailing preferences.

Cheers,
b.

What's a bluewater boat?

The database I posted allows you to search boats based on parameters of your choice. Select the "bluewater" parameters, and generate your own list.

Just glad to help. I remember having hours of fun with this database in my early days of boat searching. Enjoy .

Re: Bluewater Cruisers

We have been looking at so many boats recently and, while it is fun for the most part, there are times we just jump in to our sport cruiser with its 3' draft and go somewhere!
