9.5' blue shark in Santa Monica Bay that was boated - that was a lot of fun. 9-10' Mako in the same area that was released - way too nasty a fish to play games with.

The blue shark fed the block for several days. The fish tastes quite good provided you bleed it out immediately after boating.

I caught a sturgeon in the San Pablo Bay northeast of San Francisco. It was too large to keep since there is a Fish & Game requirement that sturgeon over a certain size must be released. This fish was massive. It must have been 6 feet long...no idea what it weighed since I had to release it along side the boat.

I have caught a few 20 pound plus Salmon.

I am always trolling while sailing,it brings fresh food just about everyday.here on the west coast of Florida you can catch Grouper of the bottom.Far enough in the gulf you can get Tunas,Dolphins,etc......
