Best time from pacific northwest to Hawai may to june according to Jimmy Cornell. He also states that although a tropical cyclone can happen in summer it is still doable with a good ear to the weather. Are you planning a trade wind circumnavigation? If so, the south pacific changes things a little, as far as tropical weather is concerned.
