Re: Best flashlight?

One headlamp per person, plus one really good dive light. (Never know when you might have to cut a prop free at night.)

In addition, nice to have a spotlight (hand held is fine) for when you enter anchorages at night, and also for illuminating your own sails, to help others see you.

Re: Best flashlight?

Sorry if someone has already mentioned this (I don't have time to read all posts) but I have what I guess is the first generation of this flashlight (interesting why this term was originally used in the US). Yes it's expensive, but it's incredible.

Re: Best flashlight?

Absolutely the best and I have gone through many. Olight S30R III

I think it has been replaced by this one https://www.olightstore.com/warrior-mn2.html

Sits in magnetic charging base that has suction cups at nav station. Awesome on watch to check the sails and has moonbeam, long press on on/off does not ruin your night vision.
