Best Cruiser 27-42' under $40,000

Hi all, this is my first post.

I'm from Newport Beach and am looking to buy a 27-42' cruiser suitable for bluewater on a budget of 40K. I want something that will be perfect for offshore, be comfortable enough to liveaboard and accommodate a couple).

What do you guys think?

Thanks in advance.

Hi Seawind and welcome to the forum.

I think you have just asked the number one most frequently asked question on the forum. You might find it helpful to look over a few of the recent threads on the subject. Click on the links below.

If you want more details on on specific models and such the search function on the menu bar should dig up at least basic info on just about any production boat you can think of.

While not considered a blue water boat, the Morgan Outisland 41 is an excellent live aboard and good coastal cruiser.

It has been noted as the most popular sailboat over 40'.

This is my first post I just purchased a 57 Bruce Roberts Steel Hull needs a good clean and paint but bargain for 17000 getting her sand blasted this week and then paint. Just needs a bit of cleaning has been lived on by previous owner for 10 years. Need rudder for airies wind vane and blade also wind measuring device as the one on board is not working plus many instruments . Maybe just cables.
