Yes I've experienced wierd happenings.... I believe the Bahamas are in the triangle. It was really wierd... once I got over there, .... hard to explain... it's like time slowed down... sometimes I had the feeling I was floating in the water surrounded by colorful fish, other times I dreamed turbin shaped large mollusks were following one another along the bottom of the bay leaving a trail in the sand.... and yet at other times I was in a strange bar dancing to the local drum troupe and people kept saying "more rum mon?" It's all fuzzy at this point.... :>)

I don't think that is related to the Bermudan Triangle , as I have had similar experiences elsewhere - it is something to do with the foreign food .

I don't know of any airlines or ship lines that refuse to go to Puerto Rico, Bahamas, Virgin Islands, etc. because of going through the Bermuda triangle.

Been living in it for 68 years. The triangle is Gosling's Black Seal rum, Barritt's Stone Ginger Beer, and ice. Makes strange things happen, or not, in the raft-up.

Yes, but of the 300-odd shipwrecks that we have here only a handful have been identified. Not bad for a place that's only 21 square miles! We actually have some wreck sites where there are multiple ships at the same site! It must have been pretty daunting in the old days; you're sailing along in the middle of the Atlantic with no land in sight and BAM, straight into a reef. The reef system to the north extends for some 10 miles. In the days before lights, there's no way you would have seen land before you were on the rocks.

I presume the 21 sm area is somewhere local to you? Wikipedia puts the area of the Bermuda Triangle at between 500,000 and 1.5 million square miles!! The range results from where the "boundaries" are delineated.

It's also significant that neither the US Navy nor Lloyds acknowledge the Bermuda Triangle. I think if the insurance companies aren't charging a premium for transiting the BT then you can pretty much assume the area is no more dangerous than many other busy waters.

Fun stuff anyway.

Heck, in the Great Lakes little Whitefish Point on Lake Superior all by itself has claimed 240 ships between 1816 and 1975 - the year of the sinking of the Edmund Fitzgerald.

Two 630 ton warships (minesweepers) were lost in a storm in 1918 and have never been found.
