Ben Fogle meets “Sea Gypsy” Rick

Just watched this episode of Ben Fogle. I think he is re visiting Rick. I was just wondering if I was the only who found this episode strange. Rick, clearly a very accomplished sailor, did not seem to know his way around the yacht. At one point he even pulled the wrong sheet and the jib was back winded?? If I did not know better I would say he had never sailed before!
