Yeah but there ain't no mullet toss contests across the state line. Besides, the clear turquoise Gulf gets muddy west of Mobile with effluent emptying out of the bay and skirting the coast from Miss., LA and maybe all the way into Texas.

Does the tidal water fluoresce at night In the summer when you walk on the beach?

Thanks guys, lots of food for thought, i will research all the suggestions. I have spent a bit of time up and down the Florida gulf coast but have not sailed in the other states suggested but im intrigued. It would be great to get in on one of those catamaran races but the timing probably wont work out. The P cat loves a breeze and is very dry and comfortable up to 20k and very well mannered and we will be adding a motor mount before the trip.
