Bahamas crossing

Is anyone else in Lake Worth waiting for a window to cross over to west End? Or does anyone know of a Cruisers net via VHF for such a thing?

Just curious? Why are you waiting, the weather has been perfect for days for a crossing.

Re: Bahamas crossing

Chris - see trialsbikeadam 's thread here under new posts "Crossing to Bahamas" . He's about to cross soon as well. Maybe you could get in touch and compare notes? Or even cross simultaneously and set up a sched - so you have someone crossing "with" you - even at a distance, it feels good once you're offshore a bit to have a fellow sailor on the same trip as you that you're checking in with each other. Just a thought.

Fair winds,

Re: Bahamas crossing

If you have a HF radio, there is Chris Parker.
This morning he said today was a no go, but tomorrow will be good, however they may be some squalls in the morning, then later good, Sun is good, but likely a motoring crossing as winds will be light.\
