Back River. Good Anchorage Lower Chesapeake Bay
Back River is located on the West Side of the Chesapeake Bay and just before you begin to enter the Hampton Roads area where all the cities are.

It's a nice usually uncrowded place to anchor before dealing with the cities of Hampton, Portsmouth, Norfolk, VA Beach, etc.

This was Sunday AM close to 0700, 31 October 2021 with temps near 50 degrees....a perfect morning
