B&G Wind Sensor

In transiting the Dismal Swamp Canal on the ICW my mast clipped a tree and knocked off the wind guide and anemometer for my B&G Network Wind device. I am now looking to replace the unit that sits on top of the mast and has the wind indicator and the three cup wind speed indicator. I think this is a plug in unit that is part of the B&G Network system. If anyone has an idea of how to get one, I would most appreciate the information.

Re: B&G Wind Sensor

They have a dealer in FL. But they were not much use to me when I screwed up the little contacts, wanted me to buy a whole new unit.

Re: B&G Wind Sensor

Yeah, try Myles. I have a mast top unit that doesn't spin that I'm taking down this weekend. I don't know the complete condition, but should by Monday, if you are interested. I replaced/am replacing the whole system with Nexus.

Re: B&G Wind Sensor

Thanks, I would like to consider that. This is not my boat, and when I found out the cost of a replacement for the masthead unit, I advised the owner that he, too, should think about a new system. Will keep in touch to see what he decides, but if yours becomes available, that may make his decision easier. Appreciate your quick response.
