Given the current issues, cold in Auckland.
While warm in Linton is fine for now, when it drifts to warm and lightning season it ain't so much fun. And an overwhelmed health care system in Fiji or Panama (or may case Malaysia) isn't going to be much help.

If self isolating onboard, most of us won't be needing the hospital. I think cases in Panama are going to peak faster than in the US, but April and May are also good months to sail back N. Very uncertain times for sure.

Onboard or not, most of us aren't going to need the hospital for this pandemic. It's the unlucky group that will. Hanging on boat in a relatively remote area should up the odds - but it is still just odds.

The uncertain times is why I was saying it does not make sense to start out on a passage now unless you have to. Let things shake out for a bit and see what happens. If you head off somewhere and decide it isn't for you, you most likely will not have the choice to safely return or move on. We have been shut out of 5 countries on our current, now cancelled, passage plan. And laying the boat up and flying out isn't currently an option either.
