Onboard or not, most of us aren't going to need the hospital for this pandemic. It's the unlucky group that will. Hanging on
boat in a relatively
remote area should up the odds - but it is still just odds.
The uncertain times is why I was saying it does not make sense to start out on a
passage now unless you have to. Let things shake out for a bit and see what happens. If you
head off somewhere and decide it isn't for you, you most likely will not have the choice to safely return or move on. We have been shut out of 5 countries on our
current, now cancelled,
passage plan. And laying the
boat up and flying out isn't currently an option either.
