Advice

Hi everyone
I am new to the forum.I have just retired and wish to return to my old passion, sailing. To accomplish this, I have to solve some problems: 1) Regain some experience and knowledge. 2) Buy a sailing boat. So the idea is to buy a boat and spend some time with previous owner, or spend some time in my boat with somebody with experience. My boat should be a small 28/32 (I can’t afford a big one) cruising blue-water with seaworthiness and offshore abilities where occasionally I can live by myself or with my partner. Australia is a big country so seeing all interesting boats for sale is impossible and could be very expensive. Budget could be another problem, my limit is 50K So I’m looking for any advice from experts who could help. Thanks

Re: Advice

Howdy and Welcome Aboard CF!

You are not alone in your dreams and needs.

And, there are numerous CF members in Australia who may be able to advise you about specific boats or designs found in Australia.

Stick around, spend some time reading this forum and some of the many threads (topics) in the forum archives and you will be better informed and prepared to take the big step of buying your dream boat.

I am no expert, but I will send you a few tips in a private message (PM). The best advice is to simply spend some time reading this forum, in order to see some of the many answers to common questions and to see how diverse opinions can be on any topic.

Steady
