It’s ironic that inside this high risk package, a tiny sailboat at the mercy of the ocean, lies an experience of serene security that arrises from the utter predictability of a rhythmic dance.

That is beautifully written. What is it from?

Yup, I find people stressful, especially in groups, and most especially if they are alive.

Re: ADMIT IT!

Negative.

Escaping things other than physical is an illusion.

If you are escaping chaos, pressure or rat race then good luck. For they are all but ideas created in your head, inside of you, not outside, and hence you cannot escape them, other than committing a suicide.

BTW Escaping anything is a very poor motivation to do anything new, good and constructive with you life (or what is left of it).

Why not look for positive drivers, for once? Try? Uh?

I am in the boats for my love of boats, for my love of sailing and of beautiful free women who are brave to keep us company, for the taste of Shrub Creole, the smell of Martinique rainforest high on the slopes of Pele.

I am not escaping from anything. I am running to things that give me joy, pleasure and make me feel alive.

Cheers,
b.

Re: ADMIT IT!

I'm more tuned to Barnakiel's view. I love cruising or just an afternoon sail, but I can pretty much manage to enjoy myself in all my other surroundings too.

Re: ADMIT IT!

considering the crowds are out here and considering all that which you verbalize a desire in ditching is all out here--- think on why you are trying to escape. you trying to escape things which are actually you inside yourself. it will not happen, you always bring you with you. when you realize that you will understand better what this is all about.
i left to make monthly ends meet better
i am , and it is perfect.
there are crowds, there are idiots and there are good folks.
i am fine with me. i LOVE living on the edge.

Nope. I'm into sailing for sailing. No need to get away, as I'm already there.

Many of the places I've been cruising, your wife rarely wore more than a bikini, & was overdressed in some, if she wore the top half of that bikini.

For those who proclaim to dislike people...

Why do you post? In fact, that goes for the OP's thread. Why not just go off alone and not talk to us either?

Just curious.
