Yacht on Hard in Colombia, Panama or Costa Rica

Dear sailors,

At the moment we are cruising with our 37ft yacht in the Carib. (We are Dutch, sorry for the poor English)

In March we would like to leave our yacht on the hard or on a morring somewhere not to far from panama (max 400nm). We would like to leave it there for 8 moths and continue our trip again. I called some harbours in Panama and Colombia but they charge around 3500 us dollar for this.

Does anyone have a lead where I could leave my yacht at a safe place for a much better price?

Thank you! Mark

Aruba

Not next door to you but you could try Varadero Marina in Aruba. Probably would charge you around 300 us dollars a month. The best part is the desert air. No worries about mold or insects. Very good security.

I paid $250/mo. (negotiable) for storage on the hard at La Ceiba Shipyard, La Ceiba Honduras.
