Visiting Puerto Rico ? Look Me Up !

Hello, My name is Daniel, and I am interested in one day joining the cruising world. While I struggle on land with job and family, saving up etc. etc. etc. I have been reading all I can and trying to learn as much as possible about sailing as my experience has been mostly dingy sailing. In the meantime I would love to meet people who are actively cruising. I live on the North Coast about 10 minutes from the San Juan Bay. So I would just like to leave an open invite with my cel number. if you would like some local knowledge, need some help with something, or just want to hang out you can email, text, or call me and see if we can do something. 787-637-0552 dnroquette @ yahoo DOT com

We have been living aboard our boat in the BVI and USVI since June of last year. We must leave the BVI Oct. 15th and will be heading to PR. We will contact you when we arrive. Jeff and Linda on the Full Moon.

Buenos dias, Daniel! Mucho gusto! We may be in PR this winter, and if so, we'll at least treat you and your date to a coffee or something.

Hi,

I'm struggling to find a charter out of puerto rico at christmas. We have 6 people coming from Ireland and need to book flights soon but would like to secure a boat before we do! Does anyone know of any?

Alternatively, is a transfer to St Thomas simple/cheap enough?

Any advice is much appreciated.

Re: Visiting Puerto Rico ? Look Me Up !

There are only a few charter companies in PR. much more in the USVI and BVI. the one I have seen the most of is Puerto Rico Yacht Charters - Bareboat Sailing & Catamaran Charters Spanish Virgin Islands I know their is another one but cannot remember their name. Most people who charter out of PR just do the spanish virgin islands (Vieques and Culebra) which are really nice.

transfer to St thomas is by plane only from the main airport (luis munoz marin airport) or you can just fly direct to St thomas from a bunch of major cities. the flight from PR to there is mostly small planes although jet blue startes service recently.

I would definetly recomend you secure a boat before you book your tickets.

Hope this info helps.
