USVI Cell Phone Options ?

Going to spend the winter in St. Thomas, and doubt my Sprint cell phone is going to work. Any provider recommendations from folks in the USVI?

We've had equally good experience with Verizon and AT&T in USVI.

Spotty. My T-mobile works some places but not others. Sprint is good anywhere on the water but I don't know if it goes up the mountain. My son lives there. He has two phones with different companies. One works in the area where he works and he needs the other one because it covers where he lives. He has not been able to find one that covers all areas.

Hope it improves. It's a bit of a PITA. But worse in the other islands. SAT phone is expensive but it always works.

Regards,

Mike

I live in St.Thomas and i have a Sprint phone. It works just fine! I also use sprint for my internet service. There are some locations i do not get service on the Island but NOBODY else does either!

Are you living here on a boat?

Verizon will work into the BVIs if you can see the USVI.

Any of the major US companies will work on St Thomas and generally on St John. As noted, the US signals reach into the BVI, including White Bay JVD, West End Tortola, and parts of Norman Island. I have been able to get sporadic coverage in the anchorage at Cooper Island.
