Ok this is not willy t's but ft myers beach and I hadn't called my wife in a day or two so she calls my father and they both call the marina to report me missing! I arrive at the dinghy dock at a very late hour to find my dinghy gone. Called the police but thought better of it as I'd had a few too many and ended up borrowing the owners kayak to get to my boat. Upon arriving at my boat I discovered my dinghy tied up and companionway hatch closed (not how I left it) fearing trespassers I fled with my dinghy in tow and debated calling police again but since I disappeared earlier I decided against it.
Back to boat..turns out marina management did the dinghy tie up while searching for me! Moral= call your wife regularly!
