Tender Storage Nassau?

Hello all!

I would like to have a bigger tender (like an 15-18' center console) to use in the Exumas. The idea would be to simply tow it around rather than bring it onboard.

I do not, however, relish the idea of towing a tender across the gulf stream or down the ICW for the crossing.

The idea occurred to me to buy such a tender in Nassau and have it stored there between cruising seasons.

Anyone tried this? Good idea? Dumb Idea? Advice?
