St. Marten to BVIs

Previously posted this thread but lost it. I believe the recommended return into BVIs was at Round Rock rather than coming back off of Necker Island. Comments.

That's the most direct route for getting to Spanishtown to clear in. Boats generally depart for St Martin/Maarten from Necker to get a better angle on the wind

Thanks. Was not aware of a Customs clearing in office in Spanishtown. Thought we had to go to either West End or Joist or Road Town.

I usually return via Neckar Island and clear in at Spanish Town. The passage between Neckar and Prickly Pear is wide and the depths are clearly demarcatede (i.e. you will get plenty warning if you go off track), the GPS coordinates match up to the maps, unlike Anegada, so even a night passage is not a great issue.
I'm in St. Martin right now and might be returning to the BVI in the next couple of days in order to pick up a repaired item. I usually depart around midnight from St. Martin, plan on 12-15 hour passage, and arrive in time to clear into the BVI.
