St Maarten/St Martin IGY Marina Internet

Does anyone have experience with the Internet access at the IGY marinas in Philispburg St Maarten? I've been told all the docks have WiFi, but just looking to see if anyone has any personal experience with it. thanks!

Many of the French islands have WIFI boosters and repeaters. You pay a fee for service and log on. In Le Marin & St Ann this covers the entire harbor. Check into it for your destination.

Before Irma it was pretty slow with too many people using it. This might have changed since then (now there are less slips and no fuel dock); but there are alternatives as Nicholson58 has written - plus some of the bars/restaurants in the area will have WiFi that you might get at your slip for the price of a beer or drink to get their password.
I'm at a different IGY Marina right now and the WiFi is superb - I can do videoconferencing until about 09:00 when the others start using the web and it remains fast enough for just about everything else all the time. My backup is a paid-for data account with digicel and a mifi device. That is also available on St. Martin although perhaps Orange might have better coverage there.

I tied up in an IGY marina in Cabo San Lucas, BCS, MX. The wifi was perfect for me and my crew. Great marina services also.

Just got a mail from a friend who was there 2 months ago. OK Wi-Fi at IGY in Sint Maarten but not good enough for video chats during the day with Zoom.

I keep my boat at IGY Simpson Bay Marina. The internet is pretty good. I have done a zoom meeting there but it did freeze/stall a couple of times. For everything else, including downloading big email attachments it's been fine.
Moving back into my slip there first week of November.
