St Lucia to Grenada on a 10 day one way

We are going late May and into June for a one way sail from St Lucia to Grenada.

Any tips or advice would be appreciated. Does not appear to be the same sites available as for the BVI's.

Thanks again for any help you can throw my way.

Re: St Lucia to Grenada on a 10 day one way

There are bound to be a lot of recommendations in earlier CF threads on that route if you use the Search function.
- - But briefly, the hot spots to hit are Marigot and then the Pitons; skip all of the main island of St Vincent; then stops at Bequia and the Grenadines including Mayreau; Union Island; Petit St Vincent and Mopion Island; Carriacou (check in to Grenada at Hillsborough) and Tyrrel Bay; The St Georges on Grenada and all of the southwest bays of Grenada (Prickly Bay; Mt Hartman; Hog Island; Clarkes Court Bay).
- - With only 10 days you will be really pressed to just get from St Lucia to Grenada with only an overnight stop in most of the places.
- - Be sure to get Chris Doyle's Guide to the Windwards. It is invaluable.

Ditto to osirissail, and to elaborate a little bit...

Pick up a mooring a the "Bat Cave" at Soufriere on St Lucia. You can snorkel right off your boat amongst some nice coral and fish. (it's the northernmost mooring field, right along the cliffs off the town.)

Anchor in Saltwhistle Bay in Mayreau and walk up the hill to the Catholic Church. You'll get some very nice views. Be sure to go behind the church for the view to the south and east.

I f you get to the anchorage at Hog Island, go to Roger's Beach Bar. Good place to meet local cruisers/live aboards.

That's a fun trip!

Re: St Lucia to Grenada on a 10 day one way

I tried a search and did not get what I was looking for. A lot of sailing to St Lucia from different spots.

I have the guide referenced and appreciate the two post above. That is what I was looking for.

Is there a website like you can find for the Bahamas and BVI's?

Sounds like this is a little less traveled by the charter boaters vs other locations.

Thanks again for the help.
