Key West?

OK, actually, a decent spot is inside factory bay at Marco Island, back around toward Marco River Marina. Bruce is the dockmaster there if you have any questions. A short cab ride can get you wherever you need to go.

Check the charts, you'll see it. Follow the seawall/docks around until you're all the way back in the bay, then you'll find decent depth out off the docks to your S and just W or SW of the houses on the W shore.

We picked up a mooring ball at Ft Meyers Beach Marina and took the dingy to the Topps grocery store. It was down one of the canals off the south east end of the mooring field. You may be able to ask at the marina office - It worked out well. They even have showers to use while there.

I second Key West. Only 26$ for dinghy dock for a week. Grocery stores on US 1 are not too much above mainland prices. Home Depot, West Marine, Cubano marine hardware all a short bike ride. Can also rent scooters and see whole Island in a day.
