Sure, you'll be warmer heading south, but be advised,- South Florida averages a little more rain than North Florida, but all Florida locations average about one half of the Seatlle rainfall. 'take care and joy, Aythya crew

Were just getting ready to pull in ft pierce from Jax. 36 hrs all sail. The area.between canaveral and Ft pierce has never missed for me fishing. Caught nice tuna around 20 lbs soon after putting line in water. Were stopping at free dock in stuart for provisions for xmas dinner then daysails to lake worth, stiltsville, Rodrigues key, then boot key.

Mike156, I had looked at the ones above the lock entrance which are the standard 85 feet. I had not realized the ones over the barge canal were 65. Ouch! My boat is 63 feet, but 2 feet is not a lot for power lines. Thanks for pointing that out. Odd that they would make the one at the cape 85 then put a limiting clearance of 65 on the only channel you can go through to get to the ICW and standard 85 foot clearances. Florida has tall power poles all over the place, I wonder why they chose to put short ones there.
