I am looking for info on riggers in St. Thomas and St. John. Any reccommendations as to who is the best, cheapest, stay away from, etc. Who can handle hydraulics, rod, replacement standing rigging, install furlers... Any and all suggestions greatly appreciated.
The two riggers I am familiar with are both on St Thomas. Jay at Island Rigging and Skip of Skip's Rigging. I've used both and they are good. Jay's shop is located near Crown Bay, Skip is based out of Independent Boat Yard.
Send me a PM and I can give you some further information I'd prefer not to put on an open forum.
Thanks guys. I am headed that way soon and will likely be looking to get some rig work done. Any reccomendations on yards to use? Who has good crane service and mast storage/working areas? Prefer yard that permits owner repairs but could be persuaded to use pros if they are good and reasonable.
How about the lagoon in St. Maarten? There's a rigging shop next to BudgetMarine. I know my 15hp Mercuryoutboard was half the cost of the U.S. from Budget. If memory serves me right this is them?.......i2f

Independent Boatyard is the only place on St Thomas that has,
1) Crane service
2) Mast storage/working area
3) Owners are permitted to work on their own stuff
There are only two riggers who are both good. There are no other options for pricing here. Either accept their rates, or go to another island.
