Due to some not calculated
events, I am late with the
refit of my 40' sailboat to start a voyage to the Pacific. The idea came up with my sailing mate to put the
boat in sailing condition and sail it to
Florida where the warmer climate could help to finish the
refit for a Febriary departure to
Panama.
This idea seems good but we have to sail to
Florida in late November from
Rhode Island and since time is in essence, we have to do it day and night all the way with maybe one or two stops. We would sail as close to shore as safely possible but West of the Golf stream.
Would anyone have experience doing this
route in late November? Suggestions are welcome.
