Jamaica is not a big cruising ground. It's far away from any other island, not a lot of people can afford cruising boats there, there are not a lot of protected areas for
anchoring... And the big one is the island is turned the wrong way for sailing with the
trade winds. I know a woman with a 40'
Jeanneau in Montego Bay. We've been sailing with her a few times, but unless you are lucky, you will mostly
motor around. Port Antonio seems to be a regular stop for people cruising to
Central America though.
