Did search and did not find much, few questions>>>
1. Has anyone moored or stayed at Marinas during New Orleans MardiGras?
2. How far in advance did you have to reserve a spot?
3. How far was it to French Quarter (the festivities>)
4. Did you have fun? lol

I'm in Tampa Bay, and thought this would be a awsume trip to do at least once!

We have serveral times in the past ! if you get ahold of the harbor master of either of the two major marinas on Lake Ponchatrain both of which are on line you still might get dockage even now! There are also serveral private boat houses for rent at 400 per month in the new Orleans main Harbor the french Qrt is a 15 20 dollar cab ride and the bus's run there also, if you can't find anything your welcome to tye up at our place in Montegut LA, its not the french qrt, but we have 2 parades right in front of the house !! Very cool thanks!, wont be till 2014..lol..need to finish my work and get my new boat, but never to early to start research. I just thought, geez that would have to be fun to do that, and who wants to book a hotel?>?. when you can cruise and stay in style...I'm new to the site and deff will stay in touch!
