Hurricane Prep in Pensacola

I will be presenting a free roundtable on preparing your boat for a hurricane and damage control on Tuesday, August 9, 6:30 PM at the West Marine store, 3500 Barrancas, Pensacola, FL 32507.

You are all invited.

I have been presenting an annual seminar for West Marine on hurricane prep for over ten years now. I have ridden out all hurricanes in our area since 1996, including Ivan in 2004 on board my Cal Cruising 46. I do not reccommend this for most people. After my service in the Marine Corps and then 29 years as a Fire Fighter in Southern California, I feel prepared to deal with storms.

I will talk about techniques, hidey holes, gear, reducing windage and more.
For more info, you may call me at 850 572 1225

Re: Hurricane Prep in Pensacola

G'Day Tom,

Good on you, mate! If we weren't 3000 miles away Ann and I would come and listen, and maybe have a cerveza or two. That's a nice thing that you are doing.

Cheers,

JIm and Ann
